Manages the profitable activity of all service centers within the regional territory. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

* Provides leadership and strategic direction to Service Center Managers and sales staff to achieve financial results in accordance with the current budget.
* Ensures that customer relations and communications are handled in a prompt, professional manner.
* Takes appropriate action to resolve any and all customer service problems.
* Supervises, reviews, and approves the development of sales estimates and forecasts for the region to CSS HQ.
* Makes sales calls in the region to maintain contact with key customers and the upper level management of those customers.
* Establishes and maintains training and development plan of all direct reports.
* Communicates regional developments to all involved disciplines.
* Supports, cooperates with, and participates in company-wide EHS Management System which includes following all safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.
* Supports and cooperates in company-wide Quality Management effort.
* Provides leadership and manages subordinate Service Center Managers who supervise a total of 50 co-workers.
* Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of Service Center Business Units.
* Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or related field, or equivalent education and experience
* Minimum ten (10) years of business experience involving progressively responsible managerial experience in pump sales, marketing, and strategic planning
* Good pump technical knowledge
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication skills
* Ability to develop and foster a team environment
* PC literate on Microsoft applications
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

Electrical Engineer - Power Design (Vancouver, BC)

Electrical Engineer Power Design will participate in design of venue power infrastructure for approximately 16 major venues; implement reliable, redundant power infrastructure; identify power user requirements; prepare emergency, test and operating plans; and help to ensure that the power infrastructure is safely and reliably operated during Events.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Input to BC Hydro’s design of enhanced utility power system
• Design temporary power infrastructure
• Prepare detailed electrical schematics and wiring diagrams and associated CAD drawings
• Prepare detailed overlay electrical equipment placement plans, power cabling plans and associated CAD drawings
• Assist in the development of tender packages for procurement of electrical equipment and services
• Identify power user requirements through consultation with functional area representatives to ensure that infrastructure is in place to support them at games time
• Prepare detailed load forecasts including total load forecast for venue legacy and temporary infrastructure power requirements
• Work with partners and suppliers to ensure required services and materials are delivered and installed as per the required schedule
• Assist in the design and delivery of energy delivery systems to World Cup level events
• Prepare emergency, test and operating plans
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience:

• Education: Formal education could include the following: completion of post-secondary diploma in Electrical Engineering; Bachelor’s of Applied Science (BASc) in an Engineering discipline along with Registration, or eligible for registration to APEGBC, as a Professional Engineer in the Province of BC is required;
• Experience: A minimum of 8 years related work experience in a professional or technical role in the same industry; Experience with electrical design of high reliability power generation and distribution systems in large facilities; Experience with provision of power to major events (i.e. show power), particularly sports events;
• Knowledge & Skills: Demonstrated electrical design and report writing skills. Ability to use office, project management, and CAD software including, but not limited to: MS Office, MS Project, financial cost tracking systems, AutoCAD. Ability to work effectively on a self-directed basis in a changing environment, and to make timely and technically-sound decisions under pressure. Ability to use skills in organization, prioritization, and time management to effectively handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines under a demanding workload. Ability to communicate openly, effectively, and respectfully, both orally and in writing. Ability to maintain an effective and positive working relationship with others to help create a pro-active and motivated team environment. Ability to remain knowledgeable on municipal, provincial and federal legislation, regulations and guidelines, particularly as they relate to electrical safety. Demonstrated commitment to quality service delivery with a strong customer orientation.
• Previous experience working in a fast-paced, multi-level, project based environment with emphasis on timelines and delivering would be an asset
