A career opportunity has arisen with one of our largest and most reputable general contracting client for a Senior Estimator.

With vast experience in commercial, institutional, residential and industrial markets, our client is specifically looking for an individual that is seeking a management position, yet still enjoys working in a hands-on environment. You will be groomed to be the next Chief Estimator, so mentorship will be provided. The position offers a competitive salary, comprehensive bonuses, and the opportunity to join a cohesive and progressive work team.

The Senior Estimator will be responsible for:

*Being the co-lead on bid preparation for larger institutional projects, as well as, leading commercial and residential estimates;

*Assist with cost management from pre-construction through to project close;

*Involved with quantity take-offs, sub-contract pricing, preparation of tenders, bid review and submissions to owners;

*Overall coordination in planning and scheduling with Project Managers;

* Selection of equipment and Concrete formwork;

* Blueprint interpretations and conceptual estimating;

Applicants for this role must have a minimum of 10 years of experience estimating for projects with either residential, commercial and/or institutional projects.Related post-secondary education is required and a Quantity Surveying designation would be a strong asset. Contacts within and knowledge of the local BC market would be beneficial.

The individual hired for this role will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as, sound business judgment. He/she will be energetic, confident self-starters, with a strong work ethic and seeking new challenges constantly.
